Artemis Medical Consultants was created in January of 2020 to bridge the gap between generic First Aid courses and intensive wilderness medicine certifications. We are passionate about helping people who are not necessarily wilderness professionals feel safe and comfortable working and playing in the great outdoors. The option of women's-only courses was born from our experiences in wilderness medicine classes where we, as women, were in the minority of participants, despite how many women are employed in the medical field. We have found that offering women's-only courses empowers women to not only participate, but to use the skills learned in furthering women's involvement in outdoor activities.
